Welcome to Along Came Quilting ! It’s a bit cloudy but it feels warm out today. That is usually when I (Julie) feel that spring is almost here. It helps me to feel energized and hopeful about life and projects to be done!

I’ve been in a bit of a quilting funk the last week or so. We have traveled so much this winter to be with children and grandchildren and we have had an awesome time with loved ones. Now that the traveling is done I feel so behind on my quilting projects that it has me down. I have been giving myself some grace as we have been home only a week from our youngest son’s graduation from Army basic training.

Today feels like I can actually get busy and do some of those projects. I have several quilts in progress. They range from planned to cut out, to partial flimsies to finished flimsies waiting to go on the long arm. I even have three off the long arm and just waiting to be bound!

How about you? Are you a do it and complete it quilter or do you like having many projects on the go? How do you motivate yourself when you are feeling like projects aren’t getting done? Share with me what works for you. I look forward to gleaning from others.

A quilt I have finished and gifted to one of my guys and his beautiful wife this year.
